MEET DR. EVAN MATTHYSSE
Dr. Evan Matthysse grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and attended Penn State University, where he received his undergraduate degree in business. He then headed to NYU for Dental School before completing his year-long General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Matthysse proceeded to spend another two years completing a Postdoctoral Implantology Fellowship at NYU and practiced in New York City. In 2020, he decided that it was time to make a change and moved out to Austin.
Dr. Matthysse has achieved the FAGD accreditation, one of the highest awards a dentist can receive. In fact, less than than 6% of dentists nationwide have accomplished this honor. This accreditation required 500 hours of education after the doctoral degree and residency. He also passed an exam that rivals the difficulty of board certification exams. He is also an Associate Fellow of AAID (the American Academy of Implant Dentistry). With his qualifications and commitment to unparalleled care, patients can feel confident under his expert guidance.
MEET OUR NEWEST DENTIST DR. SHEA VOGELSONG
Dr. Vogelsong was born and raised in rural Ohio, where his passion for dentistry was ignited after a sporting injury. Graduating from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, he has dedicated his career to enhancing smiles and transforming lives. His compassionate approach and skilled techniques make him a wonderful addition to our practice.
Aside from dentistry, Dr. Vogelsong enjoys golfing, swimming, working out, and enjoying the Texas weather. He is also an avid college football fan, rooting on the Michigan Wolverines every Saturday! With a compassionate and skilled approach to dentistry, Dr. Vogelsong continues to make a positive impact on the oral health of his patients - embodying the belief that a healthy smile can truly change lives.

Karina graduated from the University of Bridgeport, CT. She has been in the dental field since 1996 and has worked at South Austin Dental Associates since 2013. Our patients love her thoroughness in treating their overall health. Karina is committed to continual education and has a true passion for patient care. Karina loves spending time camping, hiking, and traveling with her family.
