We'll Help You Budget for All-on-4

While some insurance plans are starting to provide coverage for dental implant costs, others still consider it an elective procedure. Even if they aren't covered under your plan, we can help make this life-changing treatment a comfortable fit for your budget. Here's how:

We'll Help You Get Coverage for Every Eligible Step

If your plan doesn't provide coverage for the implants themselves (meaning the titanium pieces used to replace your lost tooth roots), it probably provides some coverage for dentures and any restorative treatment you might require, such as gum disease treatment. You can rely on our team to advocate for maximum coverage of all necessary treatments included in your plan.

Cherry Financing Makes All-on-4 Affordable

Our practice works with Cherry, a third-party lender that can make any out-of-pocket expenses affordable. Depending on your credit score and the repayment timeline, you can take advantage of interest-free and low-interest payment plans that make it possible to get the treatment you need. It's easy to apply—checking your eligibility won't affect your credit score.

Why All-on-4 Is Worth It An Investment in Your Health and Happiness

star

It's the best replacement for lost teeth.

Whether you've been wearing removable dentures for years or have suddenly found yourself in need of a tooth replacement solution, you know traditional dentures are unstable, unreliable, and frustrating. All-on-4 eliminates all of these issues. Because your denture is attached directly to your jaw, you'll be able to chew any foods you want, speak clearly, and smile with pride knowing your dentures are secure.

star

It keeps your jaw healthy and strong.

Did you know that when you lose teeth, the jaw will begin to shrink and change shape? That's why traditional denture wearers constantly need adjustments to maintain something close to a proper fit. When you choose All-on-4, the dental implants provide the same stimulation to the jaw that your tooth roots once provided, preventing jaw atrophy and maintaining your facial features.

star

It benefits your overall health.

It's easy to let your overall physical health decline when you are missing teeth or wearing traditional dentures. That's because high-fiber foods rich in nutrients are difficult to chew, which drives many to base their diet on less nutritious foods. With All-on-4, you can enjoy the varied diet your body needs, helping you avoid many health issues and the need for costly medical care.

star

It saves you time and money.

If that sounds like a bold statement, just remember: traditional dentures are going to require relatively frequent replacements, regular adjustments, and a daily care routine that is cumbersome and inconvenient. Dentures supported by the All-on-4 system last longer, may never need adjustments, and can be cared for just like natural teeth. Your time is valuable, and there are much more enjoyable things to spend money on than another set of dentures, another denture adjustment, and another case of denture adhesive.

star

It elevates your quality of life.

You deserve to enjoy rare steak and crisp apples when you choose. You deserve to feel free to laugh, share a joke, and smile for a family photo without feeling self-conscious about your loose dentures. All-on-4 makes these simple but invaluable pleasures available to you.

I went there after visiting several other dentists and was impressed with how fast they responded and the staff is very welcoming. I needed attention to an emergency situation and all I can say is they are very transparent with cost and knowledgeable in their field. Having a in-house lab is a big plus and I am looking forward to completing any other work with this office.

The Basics of All-on-4

This dental implant procedure can replace a full arch of teeth in the upper jaw, lower jaw, or both jaws for a full mouth solution.

All-on-4 Implant Illustration
  • It consists of a custom denture supported by four dental implants (replacement tooth roots made of titanium).
  • Two vertical implants support the front of the denture, while two posterior implants placed at 45-degree angles support the back. The angled placement means stronger support.
  • Because of the maximized contact between the implants and your jaw tissue, this system can support a denture as soon as the implants have been placed.
  • The positioning of the implants also makes it possible for many patients who have experienced bone loss in the jaw to undergo dental implant surgery without a bone graft.

Is All-on-4 Right for Me?

The best candidates for All-on-4 are:

Missing Most or All Teeth

In dentistry, preserving healthy natural teeth is always the priority. If you have teeth that can be saved, Dr. Matthysse can provide implant-supported crowns and bridges to fill the gaps between your remaining teeth.

Non-Smokers

Smoking hinders your body's ability to heal, which can increase the risk of implant failure. If you smoke, you should quit a few months before your implant procedure and drop the habit for good. Take this opportunity to break a bad habit and enjoy improved health.

In Good Health

This holds true for many surgical procedures, since your body needs to be at its best possible capacity to heal. If you are diabetic, it should be controlled. If you have gum disease or advanced jawbone recession, they will need to be resolved first.

Wondering if you're a good candidate? Visit us for a free consultation to discuss your smile with Dr. Matthysse in person. When you choose us for All-on-4 dental implants in Austin, you will get answers to all of your questions so you can make an informed decision about treatment.

What to Expect When You Get All-on-4 by Dr. Matthysse

Arrival

You should arrange for a friend or loved one to bring you to our Austin dental office. When you get here, expect to be greeted by friendly faces looking forward to helping you enter a new phase of health and confidence in your life.

Getting Comfortable

You'll be escorted to a treatment suite. Once you are sitting comfortably in the dentist's chair, our anesthesiologist will help you reach a state of supreme comfort that will feel like going to sleep.

Placing Your Implants

Next, Dr. Matthysse will place your implants into the jaw. We use advanced cone beam 3D X-rays to determine the best location for each implant.

Placing Your Denture

Once the implants are in place, your custom denture will be attached.

Wake Up With New Teeth

Once you are revived by the anesthesiologist, you will have a complete smile. You can expect your replacement teeth to look natural.

Go Home to Rest

Your friend or loved one can drive you home, where you should plan to spend the remainder of the day resting. You can expect that the anesthesia will leave you a little groggy or disoriented, so rest and relaxation are important.

Don't Head to the Steakhouse Just Yet

Although your smile will look complete right after surgery, your implants will need time to integrate with the jawbone. That means you must stick to a liquid diet for about 24 hours, then begin a diet of soft foods for the next few months. During follow-up appointments, Dr. Matthysse will monitor your progress. Once integration is complete, you can eat any foods you choose.

South Austin Dental was the first place I called and luckily it was the right place! When I started this journey I was deathly afraid of what I was facing but the time had come that I couldn’t put it off anymore. Thankfully the staff explained everything in detail and made me feel so much more comfortable. I have to say Roger is an artist and did an amazing job on my finals and will forever be grateful. I know he bent over backwards to make me happy and I appreciate it so much! This was a major change in my life that was causing a lot of anxiety but I couldn’t be happier with the final results and I would recommend it to anyone who needs it.
